Moist Banana Bread
The ultimate comfort food. This banana bread is incredibly moist, tender, and packed with banana flavor. It's the best way to save those brown bananas on your counter.
Why It's The Best
We use melted butter for flavor and a lots of mashed bananas for moisture. The brown sugar adds a hint of caramel richness.
Ingredients
- 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Mix Wet: In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas with melted butter. Stir in brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Mix Dry: Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the wet mixture and stir.
- Combine: Gently fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix!
- Bake: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
