Gingerbread Bundt Cake
The smell of molasses and ginger baking is the scent of winter. This cake is dense, moist, and deeply flavorful.
Ingredients
- 1 cup molasses, 1 cup boiling water
- 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp ginger, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Mix molasses and boiling water. Add baking soda (it will foam!).
- Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and dry ingredients alternately with molasses mixture.
- Pour into greased bundt pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 45-50 mins.
