French Onion Soup

Ingredients
- 5 large onions, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp butter, 1 tsp sugar
- 6 cups beef broth, 1/2 cup white wine
- Baguette slices, 2 cups gruyère cheese.
Instructions
- Cook onions in butter on low heat for 45-60 mins until deep brown.
- Deglaze pan with wine. Add broth and simmer.
- Ladle soup into oven-safe bowls.
- Top with bread slice and mound cheese on top.
- Broil until cheese is bubbly and browned.
