My Favorite Pecan Pie

A holiday essential! This pecan pie is made without corn syrup, using brown sugar and maple syrup for a richer, more complex flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch)
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Crust: Place pie crust in pan. Spread pecans evenly on bottom.
  3. Make Filling: Whisk eggs, brown sugar, maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour: Pour mixture over pecans. The nuts will rise to the top.
  5. Bake: Bake for 40-50 minutes until filling is set but center jiggles slightly. Cool completely to set.
