Homemade Mac and Cheese
Rich, creamy, and topped with a buttery crunch. This is the mac and cheese of your dreams.
Ingredients
- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup flour, 4 cups milk
- 4 cups shredded cheese (cheddar & gruyere mix)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs, 2 tbsp melted butter.
Instructions
- Cook pasta al dente. Drain.
- Melt butter, whisk in flour. Add milk and simmer until thick.
- Remove from heat, stir in cheese until smooth. Mix with pasta.
- Pour into baking dish. Top with buttery breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 mins until bubbly and golden.
