Cranberry Orange Scones
The secret to great scones is cold butter and minimal mixing. These are flaky, tender, and bursting with citrus flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1 egg
- 1 cup fresh or dried cranberries, zest of 1 orange.
Instructions
- Whisk dry ingredients and zest. Cut in butter until it looks like crumbs.
- Whisk cream and egg. Stir into dry mix. Fold in berries.
- Pat into a circle and cut into wedges.
- Brush with cream & sugar. Bake at 400°F for 20 mins.
