Simple and rustic, baked apples are a classic for a reason. As they bake, their juices caramelize into a natural syrup.

Baked Apples

  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Core apples, leaving the bottom intact.
  2. Mix pecans, raisins, and cinnamon. Stuff into apples.
  3. Place apples in a baking dish. Pour water into the bottom of the dish.
  4. Bake for 35-45 minutes until apples are soft. Spoon pan juices over apples before serving.
